The Letters About Literature (LAL) contest encourages students in grades 4–12 during the 2011-2012 school year to write a letter to the author of a fiction or nonfiction book, a short story, poem, essay or speech (sorry, no song lyrics) you have read and about which you have strong feelings. Explore those feelings and why you reacted the way you did during or after reading and write about it. Deadline is Friday, January 6, 2012. For more information, click here.

The Library: More Exciting than a Zombie Attack.
The staff at McPherson College's Miller Library came up with this amazing Library of the Living Dead Library Guide. Ms. Brinks totally wishes she thought of this first. Yes, the guide is specific to a library that is not the Fulton High library, but there is a ton of information in it that you can use. Plus, it is completely gory while being totally informative, which is awesome.
